Note: This article is about the woman nicknamed Molly. For the one who replaced her, see Zephyr Navine.

Amalia "Molly" True was a woman who Zephyr Navine replaced after her death in 1899.[1]

Biography[]

According to reports on her, Molly was born circa 1869.[2]

Molly worked on the counter of a baked goods shop. Her boss, Gert, asked Molly if she was going to accept Thomas True's hand in marriage, but Molly wasn't sure, as she was more interested in Varnum Dale. However, he had no money to marry, nor he said that he would if he could. Gert advised Molly to think about her future.[1]

Gert informed Molly that her daughter, Jenny, was coming in 12 that autumn and her labor was free, thus meaning they would no longer be needing Molly. However, the shop still required for the rolls to be delivered, which Gert was willing to pay Molly a penny for her to deliver for the bakery.[1]

Molly married Thomas[1] when she was 27 years old.[2] He took her home and introduced her to his sick mother, Mrs. True. Molly continued to deliver bread for Gert, as the time passed, she suffered two miscarriages. However, she assured Thomas that the next one would take. Thomas died in 1895 and Molly learned that his debt was outstanding.[1]

While picking up her next delivery of rolls, Molly learned from Gert that Varnum was back in town after a second promotion; he was then in charge of the whole office. He had even asked about Molly and invited them all to attend his housewarming. However, Gert said that his wife was seven months pregnant and a barren woman like Molly would bring bad luck. Molly was left to take care of Thomas's ill mother and the debt was piling up in the process. However, she found the time to bake French cakes and leave them at Varnum's doorstep.[1]

On Monday, August 3, 1896, Molly passed down an alleyway in her final delivery.[1] She made her way down an alleyway and, heading in the opposite direction, she jumped into the Thames river. Suddenly, the Galanthi flew over London and emitted a bright-colored exhaust. Some of these spores touched Molly while she was drowning,[2] placing a woman from the future in her body. Since then, Zephyr Navine acted under the identity of Amalia True.[1]
