Albrecht is a prince and member of the Prime Minister's council.[1]
Biography
In 1899, the council has a meeting to decide the Prime Minister's public position on the Touched. Prince Albrecht expresses his opinion that they are a matter beneath them, being mere biological anomalies caused by electricity.[1]
The council is divided on the matter of Maladie's public execution. While his comrades are in favor of her sentencing, Prince Albrecht is against the hanging. He reminds the council that they took a vow to protect the empire and not kill for sport, not to mention they still don't know the cause for the Touched. The council then questions his sympathies towards the afflicted and why Princess Bettina was bundled off to Zurich in the dead of night, to which Prince Albrecht claims that she has lumbago.[2]
